Stuttgart Open: Second seed Fritz moves into last eight with win over Karatsev
Taylor Fritz won against Aslan Karatsev 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Thursday and will play Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics in the next round

American Taylor Fritz, the second seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart Open by winning against Russian Aslan Karatsev 7-6 (4), 6-3 at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Thursday.
Fritz, ranked No 8, will face Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics next.
Karatsev, ranked No 48, edged out Frenchman Corentin Moutet (7-6, 6-7 (8), 7-5) in the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament.
