Former world No 1 Andy Murray upset world No 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6 [4], 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Friday.
Murray, ranked No 68, will face the winner of the quarter-final between Hungarian Marton Fucsovics and Australian Nick Kyrgios for a place in the final.
Murray has not dropped a set in three matches this week, beating Australian qualifier Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 6-3) and Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-3, 7-6 [4]) in earlier rounds.
