Medvedev eases past Arnaldi in his Toronto Opener

Russian Daniil Medvedev, the second seed, won against Italian qualifier Matteo Arnaldi 6-2, 7-5 to advance to the last 16 of the Toronto Masters at the Aviva Centre on Wednesday evening.

Medvedev, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 16 seed, and Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis next.
