US Clay Court Championships: Etcheverry and Tiafoe will battle for the title

Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 8 seed, won against German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final of the US Clay Court Championships at River Oaks Country Club in Houston on Sunday evening.
Etcheverry, ranked No 73, will face American Frances Tiafoe, the top seed, next.
The Argentinian defeated Juan Manuel Cerundolo (6-3, 6-4), Australian Max Purcell (7-6 (5), 6-1) and Chilean Cristian Garin (6-1, 6-7 (2), 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Houston Open, Hanfmann, ranked No 134, beat Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki (6-4, 3-6, 6-2), American Tommy Paul, the second seed (7-6 (6), 6-2) and Czech qualifier Tomas Machac (6-2, 6-1).
