Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, reached the final of the Vienna Open by defeating Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 3 seed, 6-3, 6-4 at the Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday.
Sinner, ranked No 2, will face the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 4 seed, and German Alexander Zverev, the second seed, next.
The Italian is very dominant in Vienna, back from his win at the Six Kings Slam, not losing a set in Austria. He won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 8 seed (6-4, 6-4), Flavio Cobolli (6-2, 7-6 (4)) and German Daniel Altmaier (6-0, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Vienna tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, De Minaur, ranked No 7, won against Italian Matteo Berrettini (6-1, 7-6 (4)), Austrian wildcard Filip Misolic (6-4, 6-4) and Austrian wildcard Jurij Rodionov (6-4, 6-1). He was back from a withdrawal at UTS Hong Kong due to a hip injury.
