Winston-Salem Open: Bu upsets top seed Tsitsipas in first round
The Chinese player will face Argentine Mariano Navone in the next round

China’s Yunchaokete Bu moved into the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by knocking out Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed, 6-3, 6-2 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
The loss continues a poor run of form for Tsitsipas, who has now failed to win back-to-back matches on the tour since Barcelona in mid-April. The 27-year-old has dropped from No 11 in the rankings at the start of the year to No 28 this week.
Bu, ranked No 75, will face Argentine Mariano Navone next. The Chinese player edged out Chun-Hsin Tseng (6-7 (2), 6-3, 7-6 (4)) ahead of his win today. This is his first top 50 win of the season and the first time he has won back-to-back matches on the ATP Tour since February.
