Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva reached the second round of the Australian Open by winning against Swiss Viktorija Golubic 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 on Tuesday night.

Gracheva, ranked No 74, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 5 seed, and Slovenian Kaja Juvan next.
