Australian Open: Mensik beats Shapovalov to move into second round
Jakub Mensik defeated Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 on Monday and will play the winner of the match between Australian qualifier Omar Jasika and Pole Hubert Hurkacz in the next round

Qualifier Jakub Mensik beat Canadian Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 7-5, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Monday.
Mensik, ranked No 142, will face the winner of the match between Australian qualifier Omar Jasika and Pole Hubert Hurkacz next.
