German Daniel Altmaier reached the last 16 of Roland-Garros by beating Serb Hamad Medjedovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.
Altmaier, ranked No 66, will face the winner of the match between No 15 seed Frances Tiafoe and No 23 seed Sebastian Korda next.
Ahead of his victory, the German won against American Taylor Fritz, the No 4 seed (7-5, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1) and edged out Vit Kopriva (6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5).
Medjedovic, ranked No 74, won against Pole Kamil Majchrzak (6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (2)) and Argentinian qualifier Juan Manuel Cerundolo (6-3, 6-4, 7-5) in the previous rounds of the Roland-Garros 2025.
