The Bastide UTS Nîmes has secured two more commitments for its April 2026 event. Bulgarian veteran Grigor Dimitrov and World No. 14 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are the latest names added to a field that now features seven of its eight competitors, UTS Tour announced on Wednesday.

For Dimitrov (“G-Unit”), the former World No. 3 and ATP Finals champion, this marks a return to the UTS format after a high-voltage final against Andrey Rublev in Frankfurt (2023). Davidovich Fokina, meanwhile, will make his debut under the nickname “The Bull,” a branding choice reflecting the Spaniard’s aggressive baseline style.

With these additions, the tournament organizers have assembled a draw with significant statistical depth:

  • Rankings: The lineup currently features five Top 15 players: Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Bublik, and Davidovich Fokina.
  • Experience: Collectively, the seven announced players hold 66 career ATP titles.
  • Format Veterans: Casper Ruud (defending champion), Ugo Humbert (2025 Grand Final semi-finalist), Andrey Rublev (double winner) and Alexander Bublik (New York 2024 runner-up) provide established pedigree in the unique UTS timed-format.

Positioned as a clay-court season opener, the Nîmes event acts as a high-intensity bridge to the ATP Masters 1000 stretch (Monte-Carlo, Madrid, Rome) and Roland-Garros. The use of the Nîmes Arenas, an antic stadium able to welcome 12,500 spectators, provides a rare competitive setting on natural clay before the tour fully transitions to traditional European venues.
