Andy Murray struggled to close out his match on Day 1, but eventually got past No 24 seed Nikoloz Basilashvili to earn his first Wimbledon singles victory in four years.

What happened? Andy Murray claimed his first singles win at Wimbledon since 2017.
Why it matters? The two-time Wimbledon champion improves to 58-10 lifetime at Wimbledon. It was his first Grand Slam appearance since falling to Stan Wawrinka at Roland-Garros last autumn.
