Raducanu sets up third-round clash with Sabalenka

Emma Raducanu moved into the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Marketa Vondrousova 6-3, 6-3 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday evening.
With Vondrousova’s exit, there are now only two former Wimbledon women’s singles champions remaining in the draw – Barbora Krejcikova and Elena Rybakina.
Raducanu, ranked No 40, will face Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, next.
Emma Raducanu beat wildcard Mingge Xu (6-3, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of The Championships, Vondrousova, ranked No 73, defeated American McCartney Kessler, the No 32 seed (6-1, 7-6 (3)).
