Wimbledon: Goffin sets up third-round meeting with Rublev

Belgian wildcard David Goffin reached the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Chilean qualifier Tomas Barrios Vera 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.

Goffin, ranked No 123, will play No 7 seed Andrey Rublev next.

The Belgian defeated Hungarian lucky loser Fabian Marozsan (6-2, 5-7, 6-2, 6-0) in the previous round of The Championships.

During the first round of The Championships, Barrios Vera, ranked No 133, edged out Argentinian Sebastian Baez (7-6 (7), 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2)).
