Argentina Open: Pigossi into second round
Laura Pigossi edged out Leyre Romero Gormaz 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 on Monday evening and will play Swiss Conny Perrin in the next round

Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 5 seed, edged out Spaniard Leyre Romero Gormaz 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Argentina Open at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Monday evening.
Pigossi, ranked No 137, will play Swiss Conny Perrin next.
