Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, the top seed, won against Colombian Camila Osorio 6-1, 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Austin Open at the Westwood Country Club on Wednesday night.
Kalinina, ranked No 35, will play the winner of the match between Russian Kamilla Rakhimova and Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, next.
The Ukrainian beat qualifier Sara Bejlek (6-3, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Austin tournament, Osorio, ranked No 98, defeated Frenchwoman Alize Cornet (6-3, 6-2).
