Blinkova upends Uchijima in Austin first round

Russian Anna Blinkova overcame Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima, the No 6 seed, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the second round of the Austin Open at the Westwood Country Club on Monday night.
Blinkova, ranked No 74, will next play the winner of a match between German Tatjana Maria and Hungarian Anna Bondar.
