Slovak Veronika Erjavec reached the semi-finals of the Cali Open by winning against Argentinian Jazmin Ortenzi 6-0, 6-3 on Thursday.
Erjavec, ranked No 199, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Camila Osorio, the top seed, and Hungarian Panna Udvardy next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Slovak beat Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-2) and Francesca Jones (7-6 (3), 5-0 ret.).
Ortenzi, ranked No 289, defeated Brazilian Laura Pigossi, the No 6 seed (6-3, 6-1) and Colombian wildcard Valentina Mediorreal Arias (6-0, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
