Colombian Emiliana Arango reached the last 16 of the Cancun Tennis Open by winning against American qualifier Whitney Osuigwe 6-4, 6-4 on Monday.
Arango, ranked No 169, will face the winner of the match between No 4 seed Marina Stakusic and Carol Zhao next.
