Catalonia Open: Mandlik edges out Yastremska to make the final
Elizabeth Mandlik found a way (7-5, 4-6, 6-4) through Dayana Yastremska on Saturday, in order to qualify for the final.

American qualifier Elizabeth Mandlik edged out Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 to move into the final of the Catalonia Open on Saturday.
Mandlik, ranked No 147, will play the winner of the match between American Lauren Davis, the No 3 seed, and Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the second seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old American defeated Spanish qualifier Angela Fita Boluda (6-1, 7-5), Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 6 seed (4-6, 7-5, 6-2) and Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-4, 2-6, 6-1).
Yastremska, ranked No 149, won against Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo (7-6 (5), 6-3), Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 5 seed (6-4, 7-5) and Swiss Jil Teichmann, the top seed (7-5, 7-6 (1)) in the previous rounds.
