Romanian Ana Bogdan, the No 8 seed, advanced to the second round of the Cluj-Napoca Open by beating American Alycia Parks 7-5, 7-5 at the BTarena on Monday evening.
Bogdan, ranked No 65, will face the winner of the match between Romanian wildcard Anca Alexia Todoni and Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva next.
