Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto, the No 7 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Cluj-Napoca Open by winning against Romanian wildcard Ana Bogdan 6-3, 6-0 at the BT Arena on Thursday evening.
Cocciaretto, ranked No 60, will face Italian Lucia Bronzetti next.
The Italian beat Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (6-3, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Cluj-Napoca tournament, Bogdan, ranked No 120, defeated Jodie Burrage (6-2, 6-3).
