Xinyu Wang defeated Magda Linette 6-2, 6-4 on Wednesday

Chinese Xinyu Wang advanced to the last 16 of the Transylvania Open by Verdino by winning against Pole Magda Linette, the No 5 seed, 6-2, 6-4 on Wednesday.

Wang, ranked No 80, will play qualifier Anna Blinkova next.
