Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai won against American Claire Liu, the No 3 seed, 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Golden Gate Open at Stanford on Monday night.

Bai, ranked No 136, will face Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera next.
