Indian Wells: Wang upsets Alexandrova, meets Krejcikova in third round
The Chinese left-hander defeated 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-2, 6-3 on Friday

China’s Xinyu Wang reached the third round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells by defeating Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 18 seed, 6-2, 6-3 on Friday.
Wang, ranked No 67 in the world, will face former Roland-Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova, the No 16 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, the 21-year-old Chinese won against Belgian Elise Mertens (6-3, 6-1).
