Indian Wells WTA 1000: Rybakina books spot in third round

Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 7 seed, reached the third round of the Indian Wells WTA 1000 by winning against Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens 6-3, 6-3 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday evening.

Rybakina, ranked No 7, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu and No 25 seed Katie Boulter next.

In the previous round of the Indian Wells tournament, Lamens, ranked No 64, beat Marie Bouzkova (3-6, 6-3, 6-3).
