Strasbourg Open: Pliskova reaches semis

Czech Karolina Pliskova, the top seed, reached the semi-finals of the Strasbourg Open by winning against Belgian Maryna Zanevska 6-4, 7-6 (6) at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Thursday afternoon.
Pliskova, ranked No 8, will face Slovenian Kaja Juvan in the last four.
The Czech defeated Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (6-4, 6-2) and American Bernarda Pera (6-3, 1-6, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Zanevska, ranked No 65, won against Chinese Shuai Zhang, the No 5 seed (6-2, 6-3) and Frenchwoman Harmony Tan (4-6, 7-5, 6-1).
