Jiangxi Open: Hong Kong runner-up Siniakova reaches last eight in Nanchang

Czech Katerina Siniakova upset Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Jiangxi Open at Nanchang International Tennis Center on Friday.
Siniakova, ranked No 60 in the world and a runner-up at the Hong Kong Open last week, will face German Laura Siegemund next. She has now won six of her last seven matches on the tour.
Siniakova beat Chinese wildcard Yuhan Wang (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Gracheva, ranked No 45, won against Russian Kamilla Rakhimova (6-3, 6-4).
