Leolia Jeanjean reached the last four of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo by winning against Fiona Ferro 7-5, 6-3 on Friday.
Jeanjean, ranked No 107, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot and Japanese Naomi Osaka, the second seed, next.
Leolia Jeanjean edged out wildcard Lois Boisson (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) and defeated American Caroline Dolehide, the No 4 seed (6-3, 1-6, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Ferro, ranked No 341, won against German lucky loser Noma Noha Akugue (4-6, 7-6 (9), 6-3) and qualifier Emeline Dartron (6-4, 6-4).
