Slovenian Kaja Juvan won against Swiss Viktorija Golubic, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the final of the L’Open 35 de Saint Malo on Saturday.
Kaja Juvan will play Japanese Naomi Osaka, the second seed, next.
The Slovenian beat Belgian Greet Minnen, the No 5 seed (6-1, 6-7 (2), 6-3), Swiss Celine Naef (2-6, 6-2, 6-2) and American Katie Volynets, the No 3 seed (6-1, 3-6, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Golubic, ranked No 92, won against Frenchwoman Selena Janicijevic (7-6 (3), 7-5), Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet (3-6, 6-1, 6-3) and American McCartney Kessler, the top seed (6-3, 7-5).
