Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva won against Slovenian lucky loser Tamara Zidansek 7-5, 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Megasaray Hotels Open 2 on Friday.
Selekhmeteva, ranked No 152, will face Serb Olga Danilovic, the top seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Russian defeated German qualifier Noma Noha Akugue (6-4, 7-5) and No 3 seed Kamilla Rakhimova (6-3, 3-6, 6-0).
Zidansek, ranked No 170, beat Latvian Darja Semenistaja (7-6 (2), 6-2) and Hungarian Dalma Galfi (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
