Ningbo Open: Muchova advances to second round

Czech Karolina Muchova won against Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki 6-3, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Ningbo Open at the Yinzhou Tennis Center on Wednesday.

This was Muchova’s 16th win in her last 20 matches on tour post Wimbledon. That run includes reaching the final in Beijing and Palermo and the semi-finals of the US Open.

Muchova, ranked No 29, will face lucky loser Jaqueline Cristian next.
