Croat Donna Vekic, the No 4 seed, defeated Spaniard Cristina Bucsa 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Nottingham Open at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Monday.

Vekic, ranked No 20, will face the winner of the match between Jil Teichmann and Viktorija Golubic next.
