Nottingham Open: Zhang to play Martincova in quarter-finals

China’s Shuai Zhang, the No 4 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Nottingham Open by winning against wildcard Jodie Anna Burrage 6-2, 7-6 [4] at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
The 33-year-old Chinese defeated Spaniard qualifier Cristina Bucsa (7-6 [4], 6-3) ahead of her victory.
Zhang, ranked No 41, will play Czech Tereza Martincova next. Martincova scored an 6-2, 7-6 upset win over eighth seed Magda Linetter.
