Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 6 seed, won against Frenchwoman Clara Burel 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last 4 of the Open de Limoges at the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc on Thursday evening.
Bronzetti, ranked No 57, will play Dane Clara Tauson next.
The Italian defeated Jodie Burrage (6-4, 6-4) and Croat qualifier Jana Fett (6-4, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Limoges Open, Burel, ranked No 126, beat Bosnian Nefisa Berberovic (6-4, 6-2) and Russian Erika Andreeva (7-5, 6-4).
