Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 7 seed, won against Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 to reach the final of the Open Internacional Femení Solgironès on Saturday afternoon.
Rus, ranked No 114, will play Hungarian Panna Udvardy, the No 3 seed, next.
The Dutchwoman beat Spaniard Rosa Vicens Mas (6-4, 6-3), Austrian Sinja Kraus (6-3, 7-5) and American Caroline Dolehide, the No 4 seed (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Carle, ranked No 151, defeated Spanish qualifier Lucia Cortez Llorca (6-2, 6-0), German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 8 seed (7-6 (5), 6-4) and Swiss Jil Teichmann, the second seed (2-6, 6-4, 6-2).
