Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 4 seed, reached the last 16 of the Parma Ladies Open by winning against Italian wildcard Eleonora Alvisi 7-5, 1-6, 6-0 on Monday.
Tomova, ranked No 85, will play the winner of the match between Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic and Russian Erika Andreeva next.
