Six months after they announced an end to their working relationship, former world No 1 Karolina Pliskova and coach Sascha Bajin are back together.

The Czech announced the news on social media, with the pair set to work together in 2023, having spent 18 months together from the start of 2021 and July 2022, a year after she had reached her first Wimbledon final.

Bajin coached Naomi Osaka to two Gramd Slam titles and previous made his name as a hitting partner for Serena Williams.

“I’m mainly coming back because I still believe that I can help Karolína with my observations,” the German said on Pliskova’s official website.

“Her game has gradually improved since her hand injury and in my eyes she has proven that she can still compete with the best in the world. We will want to follow up on these performances, which is why we have decided to renew our connection. I can’t wait to sit in her corner again.”
