Wildcard Maja Chwalinska moved into the last four of the Polish Open by winning against wildcard Martyna Kubka 7-6 (9), 6-4 on Thursday afternoon.
Maja Chwalinska will face Belgian Greet Minnen, the No 4 seed, next.
In the previous rounds, Maja Chwalinska beat German Jule Niemeier, the top seed (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) and qualifier Anna Siskova (4-6, 6-4, 6-1).
Martyna Kubka defeated Belgian Magali Kempen (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) and lucky loser Katarzyna Kawa (3-6, 7-5, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
