Emma Raducanu is working with her childhood coach Nick Cavaday ahead of the Australian Open next month.

The former US Open champion has struggled to find a coach to work with consistently since her success in New York in 2021 – and she has been preparing for her comeback from injury at the National Tennis Centre, where she has been training with Cavaday, with whom she previously worked at the LTA’s High Performance Centre in Bromley.

Sky Sports News in the UK has also reported that former world No 62 Somdev Devvarman has also been in the camp.

Raducanu’s lack of form and injury absences have meant she has dropped down the rankings and will not be given direct entry to the main draw of the Australian Open unless she receives a wildcard.

It has not yet been confirmed whether Cavaday will travel with her for the upcoming swing Down Under.
