Raducanu reaches quarter-finals at Queen’s, will retake British No 1 ranking

Wild card Emma Raducanu advanced to the quarter-finals of the Queen’s by winning against Slovak Rebecca Sramkova 6-4, 6-1 at Queen’s Club in London on Thursday evening.
Raducanu, ranked No 37, will face Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the top seed, next. She will also leapfrog Katei Boulter to retake the British No 1 ranking next week.
Emma Raducanu defeated Spanish qualifier Cristina Bucsa (6-1, 6-2) in the previous round of the Queen’s tournament.
In the previous round of the Queen’s tournament, Sramkova, ranked No 41, won against No 7 seed Barbora Krejcikova (6-4, 6-3).
