Rouen Open: Ruse sweeps past qualifier Rosatello to reach quarter-finals

Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse advanced to the last eight of the Rouen Open by winning against Italian qualifier Camilla Rosatello 6-0, 6-4 at the Kindarena.
Ruse, ranked No 90, will play the winner of the match between qualifier Fiona Ferro and lucky loser Jessika Ponchet next.
The Romanian edged out French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot (1-6, 6-1, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Rouen tournament, Rosatello, ranked No 288, beat American Alycia Parks, the No 6 seed (6-2, 6-3).
