Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean advanced to the quarter-finals of the Saint-Malo Open by winning against Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 6-1 at the Parc des sports de Marville on Wednesday.
Jeanjean, ranked No 137, will face Ukrainian wildcard Elina Svitolina next.
The Frenchwoman defeated qualifier Alice Robbe (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Saint-Malo tournament.
In the previous round of the Saint-Malo tournament, Bronzetti, ranked No 97, beat Belarusian qualifier Iryna Shymanovich (6-0, 6-2).
