American Robin Montgomery moved into the second round of the San Luis Potosi Open by defeating Australian Astra Sharma 6-3, 6-4 at the Club Deportivo Potosino on Monday.
Montgomery, ranked No 183, will face fellow American Hailey Baptiste, the No 6 seed, next.
