Strasbourg Open: Navarro moves into last 8
Emma Navarro won against Jil Teichmann 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon and will face Russian Anna Blinkova in the next round
American Emma Navarro advanced to the last 8 of the Strasbourg Open by winning against Swiss Jil Teichmann, the No 8 seed, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Tuesday.
Navarro, ranked No 82, will play Russian Anna Blinkova next.
The 22-year-old American beat Czech Tereza Martincova (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Strasbourg tournament.
In the previous round of the Strasbourg tournament, Teichmann, ranked No 75, edged out Belgian Maryna Zanevska (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
