Thailand Open: Zhu brushes aside Fruhvirtova to reach last eight

Chinese Lin Zhu, the second seed, beat Linda Fruhvirtova 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the last eight of the Thailand Open at the True Arena Hua Hin.
Zhu, ranked No 45, will play the winner of the match between Australian Arina Rodionova and Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai next.
The Chinese beat Australian qualifier Taylah Preston (6-4, 7-5) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Hua Hin tournament, Fruhvirtova, ranked No 126, won against Russian lucky loser Anastasia Tikhonova (6-3, 6-1).
