Top seed Svitolina races into Rouen final

Top seed Elina Svitolina raced into her first final since Auckland at the start of last year when she beat Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-0, 6-2 to move into the final of the Rouen Open at the Kindarena on Saturday evening.
Svitolina, ranked No 18, will face Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 3 seed, next. It will be the former world No 3’s 22nd WTA Tour final.
In the previous rounds of the Rouen tournament, the Ukrainian beat Swiss Jil Teichmann (6-4, 6-2), Anhelina Kalinina (6-4, 6-0) and Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro (6-3, 6-2).
Ruse, ranked No 90, won against French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot (1-6, 6-1, 6-4), Italian qualifier Camilla Rosatello (6-0, 6-4) and French lucky loser Jessika Ponchet (6-2, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
