American Katie Volynets won against Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the top seed, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the last eight of the Trophée Clarins at the Lagardère Paris Racing.
Volynets, ranked No. 102, will face the winner of the match between Su Jeong Jang and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, the No. 7 seed, next.
The 21-year-old American beat Canadian qualifier Carol Zhao (6-0, 7-6 (9)) in the previous round.
During the 32, Sasnovich, ranked No 44, won against Frenchwoman Clara Burel (6-1, 7-5).
