Portuguese Open: Defending champion Baez moves into last eight

Fifth seed Sebastian Baez moved into the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Open by beating Pedro Cachin 6-4, 7-6 (2) at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Wednesday afternoon.
Baez, ranked No 32, will face the winner of the match between Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed, and Portuguese wildcard João Sousa next.
Sebastian Baez won against Radu Albot (7-5, 7-6 (3)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round, Cachin, ranked No 67, defeated Chun-Hsin Tseng (6-4, 6-4).
