Bad Homburg Open: Shnaider beats Navarro to move into final

Russian Diana Shnaider beat American Emma Navarro, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 to advance to the final of the Bad Homburg Open.
Shnaider, ranked No 47, will play the winner of the match between Bulgarian qualifier Viktoriya Tomova and Croat Donna Vekic next.
The 20-year-old Russian defeated German Angelique Kerber (7-5, 6-3), Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (6-2, 6-2) and Spanish wildcard Paula Badosa (6-3, 7-6 (3)) in the previous rounds of the Bad Hombourg tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Navarro, ranked No 19, beat Romanian qualifier Jaqueline Cristian (6-3, 6-1), Peyton Stearns (6-4, 6-1) and Dane wildcard Caroline Wozniacki (4-6, 6-1, 1-0 ret.).
