Jiangxi Open: Golubic into last eight as Bouzas Maneiro retires
The Swiss will play the winner of the match between Linda Fruhvirtova and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed, in the quarter-finals

Swiss Viktorija Golubic reached the last eight of the Jiangxi Open when Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the No 4 seed, retired from their second round match on Thursday.
Golubic, ranked No 168, led 6-2 when Bouzas Maneiro, ranked No 56, pulled out of the match. This was the first meeting between the two players on the tour.
The Swiss will face the winner of the match between Czech Linda Fruhvirtova and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the tournament, Golubic defeated Chinese qualifier Xiaodi You (7-5, 6-2).
The 22-year-old Bouzas Maneiro won against Kazakh Zarina Diyas (6-4, 6-2) earlier in the week.
